Hand Picked Lists 2.0 (Update)

Hi everyone – I want to add a quick update on the Hand Picked List 2.0 (AKA ‘Collections’) post from last week.

It looks like some revisions to item detail pages will also go live with the Collections launch later this week. The changes are mostly cosmetic and based on feedback from multiple rounds of user testing and a number of focus groups. 

The first thing you’ll notice is the improved display of item images. This change was a direct result of user feedback sessions. Every time we get feedback from users we hear how important it is that item pages have multiple high quality images. We also elevated the discovery of other items from the same booth; no longer relegating them to the bottom of the page. Lastly, we made an effort to reduce to perception of clutter by grouping like-minded information together more effectively. We feel the changes are collectively a strong enhancement and received positive feedback on them from users. 

I know a number of you have expressed interest in receiving advance notice on forthcoming changes so consider this notice! ; )
