I’m out! no more stupid membership fees, here!

Hey guys, I brought around 3500 items over from eBay trying to actually merge over to this platform and quit doing eBay. I had high hopes for this platform, but even with a current shadow ban on eBay I’ve still done a few thousand dollars in sales over the past couple weeks yet all of the same items were over here and I did not even make a single sale. I’m done guys. I’m not going to pay these people a membership fee for this nonsense. They don’t even have an app on the App Store. I’m sorry, but this was the biggest waste of time. I think I’ve ever made.

i’d also recommend exporting your items in the bulk edit tool. This can save you a bunch of time starting somewhere else.

Yes, you can export.

I would recommend using marketplaces for customer acquisition and have a website platform that will sync with eBay to build your own customer base. I call it investing in yourself. Every single order shipped out should have a your website address on it and inside there should be a packing slip with an advertisement for XX % off on your site.
Use the marketplaces to advertise and grow your website’s business. Reality is, selling exclusively on a marketplace puts you at risk of losing all your business in an instant. I say that as someone who was on multiple marketplaces before Bonanza that went “poof” overnight.
Always invest in yourself. Good luck!

For some reason sales have totally died in the past few weeks. Never seen it this slow. I did start selling on E. and am doing pretty good with half a dozen sales a day. Thinking about cancelling. Paying 65.00 a month @ 40 membership and 25 webstore. Then another 1000 to 1200 in fees each month until now. Will give it a few more weeks here to see if it picks up again. I don’t know but it seems like something is going on with Bonanza. Always had good sales then totally nothing. Almost like the site went on hold or something. Will probably keep my account and just go with the free account (if there is one now lol) and close the webstore. Just thoughts, haven’t decided yet.

At the bottom of the selling dashboard there is a “Trending on Bonanza” section that show categories with the most sales. The highest is 511 tonight. I remember a few years ago the highest was about 10000 and none of the highest were under 5000.

IMO the owner is out of money. A couple years ago he was sued by Bill to force him to pay the remainder that was owed on the site. Now he is being sued for privacy violations. This is what happens when a venture capitalist takes over a strong business. It always runs out of money.

I AM THE MEMBER OF THIS WEBSITE FOR 12 YEARS AND HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND FAKE MEMBERSHIP FEES THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO BRING SALES. BONANZA IS A ASS BACKWARDS OPERATION. THEY FIRED THEIR CEO AND HAVE A NEW GUY NOW THAT SEEMS TO NOT UNDERSTAND BUSINESS. THE FIRST THING THIS GUY DOES IS CHANGE THE NAME OF THE WEBSITE TO BMARKETPLACE? I HAVE CONTACTED THESE PEOPLE OVER THE YEARS THAT THEY NEED TO ADVERTISE THEIR WEBSITE ON TELEVISION OR SOME OTHER FORM OF MEDIA BUT THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND. I AVERAGED 10,000 LISTINGS HERE AND I HAVE SOLD 150 ITEMS IN THE PAST DECADE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS WEBSITE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ???

Gonna be real on this one. If you’ve been on here 12 years with 10k listings and just about 1% sell thru in 12 years, that is really not good. There are a LOT of sites that cater heavily to sports collectibles that may be better.
