SOME PROTRUDING...Some "diamonds" even stick out like an ear, where you could pinch both sides, and normally I'd say you could maybe lace or pierce something through them, but there's a stone inlaid a bit too close to the edge for you to add another hole on this one. ? Bring it inside when you're not using it, and maybe wipe dirt or water off of it with a dry cloth or damp cloth if needed....when you can. ? Being left outside for a little while every now and then is no big deal. I've had the same stick I use daily for many years, and I leave it out sometimes--just not too often. ? These are made for the outdoors, but the clear poly is not UV tolerant like marine epoxy. ? Should not be left in the sun or extreme heat or cold for days and weeks on end. Otherwise, the same thing will happen to your lovely walking stick that happens to wood furniture left outside in all sorts of weather. ?
