Silvered Billon Follis. 12.06g. 28mm (Larger and twice as heavy relative to a U.S. Quarter which is 24mm 5.6g).
Heraclea mint, 3rd officina. Struck AD 305-306.
Obverse: GAL VAL MAXIMINVS NOB CAES, Unabridged legend:
Galerius Valerius Maximinus Nobilissimus Caesar.
Translation:
Galerius Valerius Maximian, Most Noble Caesar. laureate, draped cuirassed bust right.
Reverse: GENIO POPVLI ROMANI~ Translation:
To the Genius of the Roman People, Genius standing left, holding patera and cornucopia; HT? mint mark in exergue.
