About this itemTaiwan red lady 786 f1 hybrid papaya seeds 10g
Watering and Fertilizing: Papayas require regular watering, especially during the initial growth period. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Once the plants are established, reduce the frequency of watering but ensure deep watering sessions. Fertilize the plants every two weeks during the growing season with a balanced ferti
Climate and Soil: Papaya Red Lady thrives in tropical and subtropical climates with temperatures between 70F (21C) and 90F (32C). Choose a location that receives full sunlight. The soil should be well-drained, rich in organic matter, and slightly acidic with a pH level of 6.0 to 6.5.
Germination: Start by obtaining papaya seeds from a reliable source. Soak the seeds in water for 24 hours before planting to enhance germination. Fill a seed tray or small pots with a well-draining seed-starting mix. Plant the seeds about 1/4 inch deep and cover them lightly with soil.
Transplanting: When the seedlings are about 6 to 8 inches tall and have a well-established root system, they are ready for transplanting. Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-drained soil. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball of the seedling and gently place it in the hole. Backfill with soil and pat it down gently to eliminate air pockets. Space the papaya plants about 6 to 8 feet apart to allow for their growth.
