Bailey Wood Plane # 5...14" long....US and 50 similar items

ITEM DESCRIPTION:: ---------- Not sure when the item was made, but I would assume it is pre 1930 (it shows a patent date of 1910)...I also assume it was made in the USA, but there is no marking to that effect...I have only owned it about 30 years ....Plane is approx 5.25" high ( at highest point), 13.5" long, and and 2.375" wide.......Item weighs approx 4.5 pounds...the front wooden gripper knob is much darker in color than the wooden handle in back...I can't say for sure if both wooden pieces are original, but they sure look vintage with lots of of wear and usage signs...The metal has discoloration and corrosion...The blade edge is still sharp, and this large plane is still quite useable...
