Item description
To grow red romaine lettuce from seeds, you can follow these steps
Plant romaine seeds 10-12 weeks before the last frost date in your area.
Sow romaine seeds ? inches deep and lightly water in.
Use supplemental lights 14-16 hours per day, hung just a few inches above your plants.
Pot up romaine seedlings as plants outgrow their initial pot.
Fertilize every two weeks with a seedling specific fertilizer.
Fill a cell with sterile seed starting mix.
Sow 2-3 seeds on the surface of the starting medium, and lightly tamp down.
Gently water with a mister or spray bottle.
Keep the top of the seed starting mix evenly moist until germination.
Place the seeds in a warm area to germinate.
Direct seed or transplant in early spring, as soon as you can work the soil.
Seeds need light to germinate; sow at a very shallow depth by covering with a thin layer of growing medium.
Alternatively, you can purchase transplants at a nursery or plant seeds indoors under grow lights
1st class mail is used so there is no tracking. If you prefer tracking i recommend paying the extra fee for upgraded shipping which is 1 fee for as many packs of seeds as you want and alot quicker delivery
Be sure to check out my shop for alot of other vegetable and fruit seeds
