There is no consensus yet on how the image was created. It is believed by some to be the burial shroud of Jesus of Nazareth, despite radiocarbon dating it to the Medieval period. The Image is much clearer in the Black and White Negative Version than in its Natural Sepia one. The Negative Image was first observed in 1898 on the reverse photographic plate of amateur photographer Secondo Pia, who was allowed to photograph it while it was being exhibited in the Turin Cathedral. The Shroud is kept in the Royal Chapel of the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Turin, Northern Italy. The Shroud is part of our Exclusive: "Ancient Biblical Replica Collection." Our image is actually printed onto a Middle Eastern type of Linen Cloth that is similar to the actual Shroud. This Body image is large and measures: 36 Inches Wide x 72 Inches High. That is 3 feet wide by 6 feet high! It has two wooden dowels that are highly polished attached on each end. The Wood measures 1.25 inches in diameter and is rounded at the ends. The Shroud comes rolled on a box ready to hang. The Body image weighs 3 pounds. With the Shroud you will also get a Free Signed copy of our Book; "The Saga Of The Shroud." Our book is 8.5 x 11 inches and over 145 pages with many rare pictures from ancient books. The cover has a full color close up image of the Real Shroud. The back has a close up photo of the Secondo Pia Reliquary of his 1898 photographs. The book delves into the timeline of the Shroud before the 1349 factual timeline by using some new information that has come to light recently.
