Item description
The image shows a 2008 Hawaii State Quarter, which is the 50th and final coin in the U.S. Mint's 50 State Quarters Program.
Design: The reverse features King Kamehameha I stretching his hand toward the eight major Hawaiian Islands, with the state motto inscribed.
Significance: It commemorates Hawaii's admission to the Union on August 21, 1959.
Composition: The coin is made of a copper-nickel clad copper composition.
