Item description

Product Title: (1) GENIUNE FOSSIL MOSASAUR TOOTH Condition: Brand New Genre: Fossils Description: (1) Genuine Fossil Mosasaur Tooth inside clear display box with fact information card. Mosasaurs are an extinct group of large marine reptiles. Their first fossil remains were discovered in a limestone quarry at Maastricht on the Meuse in 1764. Mosasaurs probably evolved from an extinct group of aquatic lizards known as aigialosaurs in the Early Cretaceous. During the last 20 million years of the Cretaceous period, with the extinction of the ichthyosaurs and pliosaurs, mosasaurs became the dominant marine predators. They became extinct as a result of the K-Pg event at the end of the Cretaceous period, about 66 million years ago. Please note that each Mosasaur Tooth is a different size, shape, weight, no two are the same. Individual plastic box is 2-1/4" x 3" x 3/4". 091917 Fantastic Finds specializes in hard to find VHS DVD movies, comic books related pop culture collectibles, die cast vehicles and more!!
