Fits Hobart models 4212,4812,8812,8612,4612 and more. A washer is necessary on the end of the auger before placing it into the cylinder. The washer serves to absorb heat and reduce friction when the auger spins. This is a common #12 size. 3/4" (18.6 mm) ID 1 3/8" (32 mm) OD Washers are necessary at the drive end of square tip augers in many models of grinders including ALL Hobarts. The washer reduces heat build up and keeps a tighter fit between the knife and plate. If you are experiencing "minced" meat, you may need to replace your washer. NOTE: These washers fit Hobart size #12 meat grinders and may fit others but measure before purchasing.
