Vintage 1940s WWII United States Army Mine Detector Chest Trunk
CH-156-G
Measures about 28" x 15" x 9" high
Weighs about 27lbs.
A light sand on the inside was done to reveal the original green paint and stamped text
Metal outer covering
Originally cased a mine detector set used during World War 2.
Trunk has been repurposed for various needs throughout the years and ultimately being used in a garage as a tool chest. It has been painted at some point from the original army green. Side handles may not be original. There are some visible inner modifications and holes were drilled at some point for a possible latch lock. Appears to be a good candidate for restoration.
