Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the classic 1960's Swedish-produced fantasy comedy/drama, THE DEVIL'S EYE (Swedish title: Djävulens öga), released in 1960 and directed by Ingmar Bergman. Featuring a screenplay by Bergman as well, Don Juan is sent from Hell to Earth with a mission - to seduce a 20 year-old virgin in order to spoil her pure wedding. The mission becomes crazy when Don Juan falls in love for the first time in centuries. The cast includes Jarl Kulle, Bibi Andersson, Stig Järrel, Nils Poppe, Gertrud Fridh, and Sture Lagerwall. The image depicts Don Juan (Jarl Kulle) gazing at young Britt-Marie (Bibi Andersson) as she lies in bed. The border artwork of a female angel dangling an open eyeball in front of a black cat is featured near the right border. This lobby card was printed for the film's original US theatrical release. It is unrestored in good- condition only with signs of wear around the edges; a piece of masking tape beneath the center of the top edge; several tears on the bottom border; and some large scattered creases that mostly do not affect the photographic image area.
