Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from one of the greatest American horror films of all time, THE EXORCIST, released in 1973 by Warner Bros. and directed by William Friedkin. Based upon the novel and written for the screen by William Peter Blatty, when a 12-year-old girl (Linda Blair) is possessed by a mysterious entity, her mother (Ellen Burstyn) seeks the help of two priests (Max von Sydow, Jason Miller) to save her. The cast includes Lee J. Cobb, Kitty Winn, and Jack MacGowran. As indicated in the right half of the bottom border, this is lobby card #6 from the set of 8 cards. The image depicts an interior shot inside Regan's (Linda Blair) bedroom as she lies asleep in her bed while Sharon (Kitty Winn) tries to open her pajama top to check on her in the freezing room while Father Karras (Jason Miller) shivers in the background. It is unrestored in fine- condition with random signs of wear in the borders; two small creases on the bottom left corner in the black background area; a 1 in. diagonal crease in the background area above the "ST" in "EXORCIST"; and a similar crease just beneath Kitty Winn's left hand. A prior owner had placed a piece of brown paper tape on the back across the length of the bottom border with a small piece wrapped-around to the bottom right corner of the front of the card. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.
