Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from one of the greatest American horror films of all time, THE EXORCIST, released in 1973 by Warner Bros. and directed by William Friedkin. Based upon the novel and written for the screen by William Peter Blatty, when a 12-year-old girl (Linda Blair) is possessed by a mysterious entity, her mother (Ellen Burstyn) seeks the help of two priests (Max Von Sydow, Jason Miller) to save her. The cast includes Lee J. Cobb, Kitty Winn, and Jack MacGowran. As indicated in the right half of the bottom border, this is lobby card #5 from the set of 8 cards. The image depicts an interior shot of Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn), the mother of possessed Regan, who has just been knocked around by her daughter and is resting in a chair as she stares in semi-shock. It is unrestored in fine- condition with random signs of wear in the borders; one or two pinholes or staple holes in the corners; a small crease on the bottom border to the left of the number "5". A prior owner had placed a piece of brown paper tape on the back of the card across the length of the top and bottom borders. There are no tears, stains, or other flaws.
