Item description

12th SPECIAL FORCES GROUP, GREEN BERET FLASH AND CANDY STRIPER, CIRCA 1961-1970's Special Forces Beret Flash and Candy Striper Bar, fully embroidered, cut edged. Removed from a collectors display board. Once the Special Forces tab was approved for wear, the Candy Stripes were no longer authorized. These Candy Stripes were worn by soldiers who were assigned to group, going through the "Q" course. These were not made from cut-down flashes. They were made as small rectangles with each group's flash colors. The candy stripes as were always worn below the crest as depicted in the associated images. Images are not included. The image with the Green Beret is not included. This image is showing how the Candy Stripe was worn.
