These are 2 vintage "crystal" glass Cartier "Large Brandy" snifters. They have a cut diamond pattern or cut criss-cross with a vertical cut below on the body. The underside is etched Cartier on the outer edge of the base. The side of the box calls these "Large Snifters". This pattern is "CTC3". Cartier sold this pattern in several different sizes. I believe these were the largest size. When I purchased these, the salesperson referred to them as "crystal", however, I have never had them tested for lead content, density, or reflective index. They come in a red cardboard fitted box with lid. The box lid has Cartier in gold against the red background. The snifters have never been used. I purchased these in the late 1970s or early 1980s at the Cartier Fifth Avenue New York store. Each snifter in this set is approximately 5 1/2" tall x 2 5/8" at the opening, and 3 1/8" across the foot. These snifters were never used. These have been sitting in their box, packed away for decades. The snifters have no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, hazing, or repairs. The box has no breaks, tears, or stains. A few box corners are slightly chafed. The box measures approximately 11 1/4" x 8 1/4 " x 5 ". I am downsizing and am selling most everything. Non-smoking household. Shipping includes insurance.
