These are 2 vintage unbranded 10 inch candlesticks. These candlesticks are marked on the under side with sterling mark, "Sterling" and "Cement Filled" and the pattern "70". I am not sure when these were manufactured. The shape is basically a round column with 4 vertical "C" grooves. The grooves taper as they go down. The base is approximately 3 " across. The edge of the base has a stair-step design going around the base. Where the base meets the column there are 3 curly X designs. The top opening is approximately 7/8" across. The top has a stair-step edge complementing the base. Inside of the candle cup is threaded. It can accept a candelabra fitting. Many candlesticks have this to make it more versatile. I purchased these at an antique shop in the mid-1980s. I gave these a hand polish. They are quite solid and weigh approximately 1 pound 9 ounces. (They are weighted). There is still a little tarnish. There are small dings on the column and numerous small dings on the base especially the underside. I am downsizing and am selling most everything. I collected sterling candlesticks of various heights and designs and would put them randomly down the center of my dining room table. When not in use for a meal, I would gather them together on a large silver galleried tray that had handles and would put this on a sideboard . I am in the process of polishing the candlesticks and the tray and will be listing all of them in the future. Non-smoking household. Shipping includes insurance.
