Item description

Simple but charming antique painting. Most likely came off of a piece of antique bedroom furniture. The entire piece measures about 10 5/8" x 14". It consists of a silk painting mounted on a piece of board; ;this is in turn affixed to what looks like a decorated lacquer tray hut I think it is a cabinet door from a dresser. Good condition, not any serious damage but a chip in the lacquer and some small spots flaked out of the silk. Also the silk is developing some age spots from the glue holding it on. My guess is that it is 100-120 years old but I cannot guarantee that however the images should give you enough to make your own judgment. Please note that the lacquer decoration is not easy to see and I did have to manipulate the photo to get it to show. O/w the first two photos are webcam and the last two are from a scanner. The cam photos show the colors a little better and the scanner photos show the detail better.
