Antique Christening gown of fine cotton/linen with matching slip. Dress has a tiny stain spot on front lower skirt and one at back - dress and slip in overall very good condition. Both closure buttons on dress are pearl but smaller top pearl button is a replacement (bottom button matches both buttons of slip). On the back of the slip, you can see where tucks have been sewn to fit various family babies. Though back stitching has caused a few small holes, fabric of slip and dress appears strong. Both have lovely embroidered lace trim. Measurements: 31" top shoulder at neck opening to lace hem; 8" across shoulders; 6-3/4" sleeve length; 9" neck opening.
