Item description

Nice addition to post-war midcentury modern decor or collection. Needs in-line power switch or repair to the On/Off switch as radio is always ON. Clock keeps time nicely. Buzzer enabled by pulling top knob out to set alarm and leaving knob pulled out; shut off/disable buzzer by pushing knob in. Radio works well for regional reception. Label preserved under 3M film. Made in America in Fort Wayne, IN. Study pictures carefully for notable cabinet defects. CLOCK REPAIRS Mechanism cleaned and lubed, non-original knobs, On/Off shaft repaired, dial brass brightened. RADIO UPGRADES Speaker wiring, Filter cap, NP caps except ext. antenna and IF cans, all but 1 resistor. RADIO REPAIRS AGC network, oscillator coil, condenser cleaned and lubed, controls, sockets and rivets treated with DeoxIT, speaker cone paper stabilized. NOTEABLE ISSUES "Scratchy" at ~580 to 600 kHz, scale slightly off Sleep timer works but does not shut off radio because Alarm/On-Off switch doesn't work.
