Item description

This is a Catalina Island Museum Limited Edition "Smiling Shark" Pottery Plaque dated 2009. Its number 19 out of 100 produced. This is part of an annual series produced by Eric and Rose Franco of San Diego in limited editions exclusively for the Catalina Island Museum. They work in the Cuerda Seca technique and their limited editions are true to Catalina Island Pottery originals! This Plaque originally was produced in the 1930's and is extremely rare, an example recently sold for $2,200!! Measures approximately 7 1/2 inches in diameter, excellent condition, signed as shown on the back. Dead Matte Green with Brilliant enamel colors!! I haven't seen any from this limited edition offered so snatch it up before its gone!!
