A tall and elegant antique vase from the factory of Royal Doulton, England circa 1900 and signed C Collis. The vase has been modified in the past and now is presented as a striking table lamp. Now fitted with a UK standard bayonet fit 22mm lamp holder, vintage look-a-like 3 core fabric flex and a good quality 2 layer, satin shade. The lamp base stands 40 cm tall, and when the shade is fitted it is 63cm tall approx. Condition: Clean and in good order. Signs of crazing and a couple of flakes low down, (see photographs) To the base is the stamp mark for Royal Doulton together with the signature of Charles Collis. Charles Collis was a senior designer at Royal Doulton for just a few years during the turn of the 19th century and this is a rare example of his work at that time.
