Elsie the Cow Mug Elsie Product This mug is in very good used condition. It has no chips or cracks or crazing. There is minimal wear to the gold trim and the decal is in remarkable shape for a mug made the same year I was born. I'm not in as good shape as the mug. There is a piece of some kind of fabric tape saying "Aunt Sis - 1948 - John". I think it's likely this was for hot chocolate as Elsie promoted a variety of milk products of Borden's.
