These plates will help keep that legacy going by providing a simple, yet attractive way to personalize their final resting home, a special picture, their headstone or anywhere else you want to add a finishing touch to their memory. You can choose the heart shape plate or the dog bone shape. All heart plates are available in red, silver or gold, and the bone plates in white, silver or gold. Choose Block or Script style font for the engraving. The heart plate comes in two sizes, the large one measures 2-1/4"H x 2-1/2"W and the smaller one measures 1-3/4"H x 2"W. The bone plate measures 1-3/8"H x 3"W. The plates have pressure sensitive adhesive on the back, so you just peel and stick. All plates are made of plexi-brass, with the exception of the red heart plates. In order to get the vibrant red color, we use a thicker plastic plate, which is not flexible as the thinner, bendable plexi-brass. Plexi-brass is two layers of a plastic type material, which resemble brass. The engraving machine cuts through the first layer, exposing the black (or white) layer beneath it. This is preferable to many people, as the print shows clearly against the color of the plate, unlike a brass plate where the engraving would be the same color. All of these plates are ideal for outdoor use, as they will not tarnish or fade, and again, you can clearly see the print. These plates can be used for a variety of purposes: urns, scrapbooks, shadow-boxes, frames and more. Typically, the engraving consists of your pet's name, date of birth and date of death.
