Item description

Gaucho, Infernales Regiment, 1814, The Cavalry History, Collectable Figurine, Horseman Figurine The Cavalry History, a reproduction of riders from different eras to trace the evolution and history, reproduced in standard 1/30th, or 54mm, a collection of Del Prado. The figurines are made in a stable alloy of lead and zinc, with a remarkable finish, both in terms of casting, as paint. Hand painted. The gaucho was a born cavalryman, and his bravery in the patriot cause in the wars of independence in South America, earned admiration and improved his image. The Spanish General Garcรญa Gamba, who fought against Gรผemes in Salta, said: The gauchos were men that knew the country, well mounted and armed... They approached the troop with such confidence, relaxation, and coolness that they caused great admiration among the European military men, who were seeing for the first time these extraordinary horsemen whose excellent qualities for guerilla warfare and swift surprise they had to endure on many occasions.
