Item description
This beautiful medal from Israel, crafted in 1987, showcases the Blossom of Galilee Pomegranates design by Gutman.
Struck in 0.999 fine silver, this medal is not only a testament to artistic excellence but also a treasure of precious metal craftsmanship.
The medal boasts a 26mm diameter and weighs 10 grams, making it a substantial addition to any collection.
With its multicolor palette, it captures the eye and stands out among coins and medals.
Although uncertified, it proudly hails from Israel, bringing a touch of the Jewish and Middle East's heritage to your collection.
It's definitely toned and has black surfaces, due to the natural oxidation of a 36 year old medal. I did not clean or touch the surfaces of the medal. I don't know what the previous owner of the medal did with it. Please refer to the photos!

Blossom of Galilee
State Medal, 5747-1987
Blossom of Galilee, a painting which reflects love for the Land of Israel and admiration for the small town Safed, the town of Jewish mystics, set in the mountains of Galilee, with its white houses and alluring beauty of pomegranates ripening on the branch.
These themes are interwoven in simple and natural harmony in the works of Nachum Gutman, one of the artists who brought about a Renaissance in modern Israel.
Nachum Gutman, son of the writer S. Ben Zion, was born in 1898. He grew up together with the newly-born city of Tel Aviv, absorbing its bright lights, sand dunes, and the special atmosphere of a city developing out of the sand.
Throughout his lifetime, his works were prolific and varied, including illustrations, oil paintings, graphic art, sculptures, large mosaic drawings, children's stories, and others.
Innocence and the joy of life in the developing State radiate from his works. Gutman died in 1980 at the age of 82.
Obverse: Lithograph in color of a part of the painting "Blossom of Galilee" by Nachum Gutman. The words "Blossom of Galilee" in Hebrew and the artist's signature:
Reverse: A graceful girl, a fawn, a tree with doves on its branches: (Nachum Gutman's illustration of the legend "Sheloshah VeArba'ah" taken from Bialik's "Vayehi Hayom"), the words "My beloved is mine" Song of Songs, (Bialik) and the artist's signature:
Edge: The emblem of the State of Israel. The words "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English. The metal content of the silver medal.
Designer: Yizhak Bibas, using the painting of Nachum Gutman. Chromist - David Tamerin.
Mint: The Government Mint

I combine shipping!
The combined shipping policy is relevant ONLY for PINS, WINGS, SAMPLE SLABS, COINS, ELONGATED COINS, TOKENS, MEDALS, and other SMALL ITEMS, is the full price for the auction with the highest shipping cost and then one additional dollar ($1) for each additional auction won.
Larger items will be packed, weighed, and combined as well.
If you win a few of my sales, please ask to receive a combined invoice for everything you won.
International buyers - you must contact me before you bid to accurately determine the actual shipping cost! 's standard shipping costs are ridiculously high and do not reflect the actual cost of shipping internationally!!!
Returns are not accepted, unless I make a mistake in the listing or I accidentally send you the wrong item (and such mistakes do, unfortunately, happen, though seldom).
If you have ANY question - please ask ahead of the closing of the auction, and please be kind as to give me a few hours to respond.
Shipping is via the cheapest method I can find, which is via USPS Ground Advantage. If you want me to ship it any other way, such as Priority USPS, UPS, or FedEx, please contact me BEFORE buying the item, so I can research the cost. I can ship with any carrier, any way you want!
IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT SHIPPING COSTS FOR LARGER ITEMS - I use's system to calculate the shipping cost via USPS Ground Advantage, according to the weight, dimensions and your location. Many times, for the LARGER items, I can probably ship it for a much lesser cost with UPS or FedEx! Please send me your zip code, and what you see as the shipping cost, and I will quote a much more accurate shipping cost to you!
This item comes from a smoke-free, dog-loving home. We have a beautiful dog, who loves to spread her hair on everything. Although I do my best to clean everything that I ship out, encountering some of her lovely hair is a possibility.
I love to recycle, so there's a good chance that I will ship in a previously used envelope or box, and use paper and used grocery bags as packing and padding materials.
All of my store items have a MAKE AN OFFER option. If you make a stupid offer, I might counter with a stupid offer of my own. An offer for a few dollars less is reasonable. An offer for half of the listed price is not.
Good luck bidding!!!
Sandy
