Jan Sterling (April 3,1921 - March 26, 2004) autographed 1950s vintage album page 4 1/2" x 6" hand signed in blue ink and inscribed Thanks to a friend Jan Sterling. The page the signature is on is 3" x 5" attached to the larger album page. Jan Sterling was an American film, television and stage actress. At her most active time in films during the 1950s, Sterling received a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The High and the Mighty, as well as an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Known for Ace in the Hole (1951), Johnny Belinda (1948), The High and the Mighty (1954), Flesh and Fury (1952), Caged (1950) and others.
