Item description

Certain to draw attention this convo-starter features art deco roll top design and distinctive "sailing ship" dial. Now an AM-only novelty, it may be used anywhere strong local stations are available. Because of its dead tech design, it could not have worked beyond the 60's predestining it as a rarity. Good for the early gen tubes which may have low hours but could not be tested on our gear. Found derelict, this battery-operated, custom build farm radio required 18 months of preservation effort. RETURNS ACCEPTED-CONTACT US FIRST Adapted to AC via novel inrush-controlled linear and noise filtered regulated supplies Caps and most resistor upgrade Controls deoxidized PM speaker/output trans. upgrade Cabinet repaired, sanded, detailed and Tung oiled Era-correct grill cloth renewed Shortwave beyond repair, deleted; Band switch has no function Susceptible to minor motor and digital tech interference. Requires "long wire" antenna (included); able receive to ~100 miles nighttime as-is.
