This is a beautiful vintage Linden mantle clock, model #7016, made in Japan and featuring an electronic strike chime mechanism. The case is crafted from wood and finished in a rich, dark tone, with a sleek, sculptural wave shape that adds a distinctive mid-century modern aesthetic. The clock face has a silver-tone brushed metal background with gold Roman numerals and ornate gold hands, all framed in a brass-tone bezel. On the back of the clock is a label from Shinn Jewelers of Canton, Illinois, indicating its original retailer, and inside the back door, there is a second label from Cuckoo Clock Manufacturing Co., New York, NY. Please note: the battery compartment has experienced corrosion, and therefore the clock is being sold as-is, untested, for parts or repair. Despite this, the clock remains visually striking and would make an excellent addition to a collection, a restoration project, or a handsome decor piece on its own.
