Item description

Product Name : Lord Vishnu Idol In Pure Solid Copper Weight : 786 gms Dimension : 6.5 inches (Height) * 2 inches (Base) Design : This Copper statue of Lord Vishnu is very impressive made from artisians of south india with ornate jewelry .Vishnu?s face is perfectly shaped giving him a truly divine appearance. His face is angular and sharp with his oval eyes almost looking through you with the power of his gaze. Vishnu has a magical face and pure expression! He is dressed in royal silk garments and holds in his three hands the sankha (conch), chakra (discus), gada (mace), and fourth hand in abhay mudra. The conch represents ?OM? , the first sound of creation and also the beginning of matter, since sound and matter are consider to be synonymous. The discus is thought to represent the sun. Vishnu, like Shiva, was originally a minor deity with only five out to 1,028 hymns in the Rig Veda addressed to him. He seems to have been derived from a solar deity. The discus is a vestige of his solar origins. Vishnu?s weapon, the mace, represents the elemental force from which all physical and mental powers derive. Vishnu?s wife is Lakshmi. For this reason he is bedecked in jewels and decorations that show that he is the wife of the Goddess of Wealth. The detail of the carvings are amazing. His head dress design is called a Kirita Makutam, a head dress in the shape of a large puja bell. Both in his head dress and on his belt is a carving of the god of time Mahakala.
