Item description

Vintage original 11x14 in. U.S. lobby card from the 1930's drama MIDNIGHT MADONNA, released in 1937 by Paramount Pictures and directed by James Flood. Warren William stars as a habitual gambler who comes to the aid of a desperate woman (Mady Correll) after her daughter (Kitty Clancy) inherits a fortune and is underhandedly taken by her estranged father. The image features an interior medium shot inside of a courtroom as the Judge Vincent Long II (Frank Reicher) leans in to smile at Kay Barrie (Mady Correll), the mother of young Penny Long (Kitty Clancy) who is sitting on the top of his bench while Blackie Denbo (Warren William) stands beside the young mother as a bailiff stands by the door. It is in very fine+ condition without any pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws with just a small smudge in the top border above the "D" in "MADONNA." The colors are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading. Warren William (born Warren William Krech; December 2, 1894 – September 24, 1948) was a Broadway and Hollywood actor, immensely popular during the early 1930s; he was later nicknamed the "King of Pre-Code". He was the first actor to play Perry Mason.
