Melgisorb AG Antimicrobial Dressings Melgisorb Ag Dressings are antimicrobial alginate dressings with superior absorbency for all moderate to heavily exuding partial to full thickness wounds including post-operative wounds, trauma wounds (dermal lesions, trauma injuries or incisions) leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, graft and donor sites, cavity wounds, superficial and partial thickness burns. They may be used in the management of infected wounds or wounds in which there is an increased risk of infection under the medical supervision of a healthcare professional. Melgisorb Ag Dressings absorb up to 45% more exudate than the leading silver dressing and release silver ions in the presence of wound fluid to provide a sustained antimicrobial effect against a broad spectrum of microorganisms. They protect the wound and aid autolytic debridement, thereby facilitating wound healing and their high fibre strength allows them to be removed in one piece.
