Item description

This is a natural solid stone Rhyolite 4-sided obelisk. It is approximately 16 1/8" tall and the base is approximately 3 1/4" x 3 1/4". The top pyramid is approximately 5/8" tall and 1" x 1". It is a medium beige color with striations of darker beiges and browns. It is basically "neutral" in color. My house is beige and black and this went well with everything. I displayed this along with other mineral obelisks on a silver tray to mimic a city scape of skyscrapers of different proportions and colors. I purchased this in the 1980s at a Denver mineral and fossil store. Colorado has a lot of Rhyolite and I believe this is Colorado Rhyolite. Rhyolite is a relatively soft stone. The obelisk is polished on all sides to the extent that Rhyolite can be polished. All of the edges are beveled. There are occasional inclusions and anomalies in the stone. See Photos. There is one chip on the bottom beveled edge. See Photos. It is hard to find and I think hard to see and does no detract from the obelisk's overall beauty and impact. I am downsizing and am selling most everything. Non-smoking household. I have listed other obelisks on my other site, boscobosco12. Shipping includes insurance.
