THIS SHOULD BE IN A MUSEUM...GOOD CHANCE FOR A COLLECTOR. ORIGINAL WW2 HAT FROM THE 162ND FIGHTER SQUADRON! THE REAL DEAL AND NOT A REPRODUCTION. SEE ORIGINAL SIGNS OF WEAR, MATERIALS, AND TAG. Marked PM Manufacturing Co etc. Also marked size 7 1/4" which I believe is a large. I looked up this squadron and was able to find some good information. The squadron was created in 1942. This is an early version as I believe the word "fighter" on the logo was changed post war. You should look up the squadron as there is a good amount of information online. Original sweat stains on inside band. General signs of use and age consistent with a WW2 hat. No rips or tears. Light signs of age on edge of bill. The insides are still good and intact.
