This Feather Quill pen wooden bookmark has been laser engraved onto a piece of high grade Baltic birch plywood. A sturdy and stylish bookmark that will help to make your reading sessions more enjoyable. The design has been both laser cut and laser engraved adding a little modern science flare to the age old reading pastime. A key benefit to the engraving process is that the images will not wear off, that is unless you take sand paper or a knife to it ;) Designed and made by Wood Artist Paul Szewc of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. APPROXIMATE SIZE: 6-5/8" x 1-3/8" x 1/8" (17.5 cm x 4 cm x .3 cm) It has been finished with multiple sandings and sprayed with sealer then sanded again and sealed. This creates that smooth-to-the-touch finish. This process is the same as what a high quality piece of furniture receives. It is very durable and requires no care. Simply wipe with a damp cloth if it becomes dirty. It will last for many years to come. Due to variance in natural wood grain and how the wood behaves while engraving, your bookmark may differ slightly from the one shown in the photos. As wood is a natural living product it can be a little unruly; knots, streaking, other blemishes and flaws in the grain can occur during the natural growth of the tree. These may be present in all our products to some degree but we do control for anything that will seriously interfere with the use or look of our items. We at Masterpiece Lasered Wood, the home of the famous "Wonky" furniture design believe these imperfections add a uniqueness to our products and LOVE us some rebellious wood grain or an interesting knot here or there that doesn't interfere with the use of the item.
