Item description

This is a silver plate 4 piece place setting in the Festivity/Tiger Lily pattern by Reed Barton. Originally, in about 1902, the pattern was called Tiger Lily. After about 1945 it was called Festivity. The dinner fork is approximately 7" long, the salad fork is approximately 6 1/8" long, the teaspoon is approximately 5 7/8" long, and the dinner knife is approximately 9" long. Festivity/Tiger Lily was inspired by designs in the Louis XV style with elegant Baroque or Rococo styling. If you look closely, you can see the lovely tiger lilies even on the underside. There is decoration on the front and back. There is NO monogram on any piece. The 2 forks and the spoon have "Reed Barton" on the underside. The dinner knife has "Reed Barton Mirror Steel" on the blade. My parents purchased these from Slavick's in Los Angeles in about 1950. I gave the pieces a hand polish. They have use marks consistent with their age and usage. I am downsizing and have not used this lovely flatware in decades. Rather than staying in a box, I hope someone will actually use it. Non-smoking household.
