This is a natural solid stone 4-sided obelisk. I believe that it is marble or granite. It is dense and heavy. It has various beige colors and scattered small gray and black areas. It has small sea shell fossils exposed throughout the obelisk. The more I look, the more I find. The obelisk is approximately 17" x 4" x 4". The top pyramid is approximately 1 1/2" x 2" x 2". It is polished on all sides and the bottom. It has beveled edges. I purchased this from a Denver mineral and fossil shop in the 1980s. I displayed it on a silver tray with other mineral obelisks of various sizes to mimic a city scape of skyscrapers of various heights and colors. There is a chip on the bottom of one beveled edge approximately 1/4" tall. See Photos. The chip is hard to find and I think hard to see. It does not detract from the overall impact and beauty of the obelisk. I am downsizing and am selling most everything. Non-smoking household.
