This book has no remainder mark, no internal marking, no previous owner's name and no unpleasant odor. The binding is tight and the boards are in great condition. The decorative orange end papers are clean and mark free, both front and back. The outside page edges exhibit very little to no soiling. The dust jacket is unclipped - it is clean and fully intact. The jacket has no tears or chips. However, the jacket has one small repaired tear on the top left corner of the front panel. The jacket has since been repaired from the inside. This is really the only flaw of note that the book has. The jacket does not really even show light shelf wear. Other than the now mended closed tear this copy is gift quality.
