Vintage Chicken Hen on a Basket Soup Tureen B D Japan Cookie Jar Home Decor Vintage Soup Tureen Cookie Jar Covered Vegetable Bowl This vintage chicken soup tureen was made by B D in Japan, probably in the 60's to 70's. If you have more information on this item, I would welcome your input. It stands 9.5" tall X 9.5" front to back and 7" wide. It has no chipping but does have a small crack in the front of the tureen I have tried to photograph for you to see. It is probably more decorative now than to be used for soup. It could also be used as a cookie jar or a covered vegetable bowl. There is no matching spoon or ladle. The decoration wasn't fired on, it was cold painted afterwards and that is why there is paint loss. Check out my photographs carefully for a better description of this piece.
