THESE ARE FROM THE ORIGINAL 1930'S BATCH, and is for the green plate ONLY. The green plate has no stamp showing. The "El Patio" collection was Gladding McBean's first line of dinnerware, introduced in the 1930s as Franciscan Pottery or Franciscan Ware. The stamp you see on these plates (showing GMcB) is the company's earliest dinnerware stamp and was only used in the 1930s. After the 1930s, all stamps used on Gladding McBean's dinnerware show the added word "Franciscan," making this plate extra unique and easily identifiable as original Gladding McBean dishware. This plate is in excellent condition for the age and only have the slightest signs of utensil marks. The glaze is glossy and smooth, and the color is as bright striking as ever.
