Item description

Vintage EAPG Celery Vase AS IS Diagonal Band pattern A vintage piece of glass, possibly from the 1850's, and very understated and classic. In the 1800's celery was not a commonplace vegetable. It was a STAR! and it got it's own special plates, dishes and "vases". This is a celery vase. It's 5 1/4 inches high by 3 5/8" wide across the top. As you would expect with something this old, it has 3 chips on the foot and 1 on the top outside rim. Nothing is big or hideous but they are about 1/4-1/3" wide. (see the 2nd and 3rd pictures) It came with a tag on it with the 1850 date and the pattern name, from the estate sale of a veteran glass dealer.
