NORITAKE SOUP BOWL HOLLYWOOD PATTERN Noritake M in Wreath Morimura Nippon Early 1900s Gold Trim Floral Band Bone China This coupe soup bowl is by Noritake. It is in the Hollywood pattern. The background is white, it has a cream band with pink flowers around the top. The gold trim on the edge of the bowl is very worn in spots. It does have a glossy finish to it. The bowl measures approximately 7 3/8 inches across and stands approximately 1 3/8 inches tall. It is in overall good condition for its age, with minor wear. The backstamp is in green and reads Noritake, M in the Wreath, and Nippon. This mark represents the Morimura Brothers who distributed their fine china through outlets in New York. This particular backstamps dates circa the 1920s and earlier, later backstamps would have Japan or Made in Japan on them. It would display wonderfully with other vintage china.
