SOME DEEP...This stick has a few particularly deep diamonds (although it's difficult to capture the many curves and forms in the photos--but they're there,) so I feel I must mention it. They're beautiful alone, and also perfect for embedding more stones or charms into them, if you'd wish. ? SPALTED RAILING: Has highly coveted, unique and rare ? semi_railing effect, where the diamonds become one with the wood and twist and turn the wood due to spalding/spalting. ? SOME PROTRUDING...Some "diamonds" even stick out like an ear, where you could pinch both sides, and normally I'd say you could maybe lace or pierce something through them, but there's a stone inlaid a bit too close to the edge for you to add another hole on this one. ? INSECT MARKINGS: Has several/a few insect and/or worm hole markings on this stick. _ Worm and other insect markings are somewhat rare ? and are actually coveted, as they help create a unique design, character to the stick, and add another dimension to the story of how efficient nature works. ??? _ The worms or insects have long disappeared, usually before I harvest or for sure ? during/after I dry my sticks INSIDE OUR HOME ? for several months, then sand and coat with poly. As a GENERAL rule, walking canes should be about elbow height or 2-4" below...give or take a few inches. _ But preferences vary, sooo..... _ If you've never had a walking cane, measure while wearing ??walking shoes, have your arms hang at your side. Note where your elbow is at. Measure from the floor to your elbow, and subtract a couple of inches. ? WE CAN SHORTEN, at no charge. We'll happily cut it down for you. This could maybe hold more weight, but I'm just guessing at wt. limit. I'm "only" ~200 lbs. and test each stick just by trying to bend it to make sure it's sturdy. ?
