Genuine kukui nut and mongo shell lei necklace. Each kukui and mongo necklace has approximately 22 genuine kukui nuts each 2.5cm in diameter, and approximately 420 white mongo shells, each approximately 5mm in diameter. The "Black 3 Shell Ring" option has three rings of mongo shells between each nut, versus two rings on the others and the Kukui Lei with Wood Disc/Mongo has a total of 13 kukui nuts with wood discs and mongo shell rings between each nut. The Kukui Tree is commonly grown in the Hawaiian Islands. It is a symbol of enlightenment, protection, and peace. Necklace length: approximately 32" long. Ties behind the neck and can be adjusted up to 5 inches. You can also remove some of the nuts and shells to make the lei shorter. These can be worn as is or taken apart for other craft projects.
