5881 Tung-Sol Matched Pair NOS Testing Tubes and 50 similar items

This new old stock-testing, matched pair Tung-Sol 5881 output tubes was tested on our Maxi Matcher 2 for shorts, gas and transconductance and tested on our Maxi-Matcher 2. There were no shorts or gas. Transconductance measured: Tube One: 31.5 milliamps / 2760 micromhos (Tung-Sol 5881 Made In USA stenciled on base with code 325824-3; 5881 stenciled on glass with code 3) Tube Two: 30.2 / 2500 (Tung-Sol 5881 Made In USA stenciled on base with code 324473-3) Tube tested with 400 volts on the plates and a bias of -48 volts. New old stock US-made 5881s typically test with plate current from the mid-teens to mid 30s with transconductance from around 2200 micromhos. Tubes have a gray plate, a top radiator for cooler operation and longer tube life, each tube has six mica scrubbers for increased resistance to vibration, flashing is excellent, micanol bases and are tight on base with no debris or rattling sounds.
